Youth Blending Conference (December 27–29, 2024)
How pleasant it is to end the year 2024 with a youth blending conference in Manjung! Ninety-five youths gathered for three days; they are the young people in the Lord’s recovery. We were burdened to tell them about the Lord’s recovery and what the life and living of young people in the Lord’s recovery is.
The Lord’s recovery is a recovery of truth and of life. As young people, we need to realize that the Lord’s recovery is an inward recovery. The Lord recovers us by giving us a new heart to love Him and a new spirit to receive and contact Him.
Nehemiah is an excellent pattern for us. Although he was the king’s cupbearer, he loved God and God’s interests. When he heard that the wall of Jerusalem was broken down and its gates had been burned with fire, he wept, fasted, and prayed to God. He also went to Jerusalem to see the situation for himself. Today, the Lord wants us to have such a heart for the kingdom.
Daniel and his three friends are also good examples. They had the opportunity to be well educated in the learning and language of the Chaldeans. However, they set their heart not to defile themselves. Although Daniel held a high position in Babylon, his testimony to the king was that he had an excellent spirit and served God continually.
Our young people today need secular education, but they also need spiritual education. We want all our young people to treasure the word of God and to read the Bible daily, because we need the word of God as our nourishment for proper growth in life.
Lastly, the church is the best place for us to grow in life. The proper church life provides the best environment for growth. As young people, let us flee youthful lusts and pursue the Lord with our companions!
