Youth Perfecting and Blending Conference (May 25—June 4, 2026)
The raising up of the next generation in the Lord's recovery takes years and it is a work of faith. Many faithful servants of the Lord were gained by the Lord while they were young. Even though these youths are young, we have to sow the seed and labor on them so that we can see the harvest in the years to come.
God’s Salvation of Man
This youth perfecting is one of such opportunities for us to speak the word of God to them. We want them to know that God’s purpose in creating man is so that God can be life to man and that man can express God. Man was then placed in the garden of Eden, in front the tree of life (Gen. 2:8-9), showing that God wants man to receive him as life. Even before man fell, He needed to be regenerated, which is to receive another life, the divine life of God.
But before man could receive the life of God, man was deceived by the serpent and took the tree of knowledge of good and evil; as a result, the way to the tree of life was sealed (3:24). Man fell in sin and needed the redemption of the Lord. Thank the Lord that Christ accomplished redemption for man, that today man only needs to repent and believe, that is, to turn our heart to the Lord and receive Him, to receive God's salvation.
Even though we may still sin occasionally, we thank the Lord that we have the blood of Jesus. As long as we confess our sins, God is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleans us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). However, at the same time, we must also realize that each time we sin, we are offending God Himself. Our confession of our sins are not just for the peace of our own conscience or for others’ conscience but because we offended God and we need the blood of Jesus to cleanse us.
The Normal Living of a Saved Believer
In this perfecting, we also saw the normal living of a saved believer. Having believed in the Lord, how should we live as Christians? How are we different from our friends? The first thing we need to know is we are consecrated ones. The Lord purchased us with His own blood, so we belong to Him and He has the full right over us. When we see this and consecrate ourselves to the Lord, He will have more ground in us to grow in us. How well we grow in the Lord depends on our consecration.
A believer also needs to learn to confess the name of the Lord. From the day we were saved, our family and friends should know. We should seek out opportunities to make known to our friends that we are Christians. This will save us from many troubles in the future. Besides that, as Christians, we are different from our friends; there must be a separation between us and our friends. They may do many things in the world, but we are different and we cannot be same as them.
Positively, we need to be in the church and live the church life. The world is not our home, but the church is our home! Here, we love the Lord and pursue the Lord together. Praise the Lord that we can also serve Him in the church! The unbelievers have no part in this; they have no right to serve the Lord. It is a privilege that we can serve Him!
As we live the church life and serve Him together, we also realize that we are all fellow brothers. As brothers we need to love one another even as the Lord loved us. We do not love a brother because he is lovable, but we love simply because he is a brother!
Being Built Up by Having a Proper Education and Character for the Lord
We are also very concerned for the preservation and preparation of the young vessels of God. As vessels of God, we do not only have the spirit to contact God; we also have a soul and a body that we may express God and serve God. We do not want our young people to love the Lord but neglect their education and character. These youths are in their golden years and these are the best years for them to build a relationship with the Lord, gain the best education, to build up a good character, to learn languages, and even to take care of their health.
We had sessions where we helped them to review their weekly timetable and to learn to plan their own timetable so that not a single day would be wasted away. The practical way to redeem the time is to have a timetable and to consecrate it to the Lord. We believe the Lord will honor such consecrations.
We also realized that many of these youths do not study much outside school time and many do not know how to do their own studies. Many of them heavily rely on their teachers to help them study. While this is good, we felt that they also need to learn how to study by themselves. So we had a session where we taught them what is to study, how to apply active studying methods, and to assess themselves by recalling what they have just read.
With AI tools so easily accessible and prevalent among the youths, we are also concerned that many of them are misusing it to complete their homework but not learning anything from it. We, therefore, also addressed this problem and guided them of the proper way to use these AI tools to even enhance their learning. Finally, we gave these youths a questionnaire for them to help them realize their inclination and study interests. We hope that this will stir up their interest in learning and studying in their school years.
Youth Blending Conference
We had a Youth Blending Conference in the middle of the Youth Perfecting. All the youths went to Manjung for the Youth Blending Conference. We can see that these youths who joined the perfecting were aggressive in taking the lead to release their spirit in calling, singing, and even in prophesying.
In this conference, we saw that God's purpose is that God wants man to receive Him as life and become His many sons. In His creation of man, God formed man from the dust of the ground, breathed the breath of life into man, and man became a living soul (Gen. 2:7). God's creation of man was very particular; man was created tripartite, with the spirit, soul, and body (1 Thes. 5:23). With our spirit, we can contact God and receive Him; with our mind, we can understand what God wants; with our emotion, we can love what God loves; and with a will, we can choose God.
Adam fell because he did not exercise his spirit. Today we need to build up a habit of exercising our spirit. We need to call on the Lord all day long for He is rich to all who call (Rom. 10:12). Moreover, we exercise our spirit to eat His Word by pray-reading the Word. These are healthy practices that will help us to grow in life.
With life there is always growth. However, how well this life grows depends on the condition of our heart. As we call on the Lord and pray-read His Word, we also need to deal with our heart, so that there will be no worldly traffic in us, no hidden sins or impure motive in us, and free from the anxieties of the age. May we all keep our heart with all vigilance! (Prov. 4:23).
When we serve the young people, we need to have a broaden view to see that they are the future of the Lord's recovery. In every age-turning work, God purposely uses young people. Therefore, let us pray for them and serve them that they may be gained by the Lord while they are still young.
