New Intake Fellowship and Blending (Apr 5-7, 2024)

Visit to Sunway University.

As we begin our campus years, we want to pay attention to having the proper church life. We aspire to study well. Yet, our studies should not distract us from our church life. Rather, our studying well is for the Lord. We are mares enslaved by Satan for his worldly purpose. But in the church life, we are being transformed into ones who live by the divine life by trusting in God and looking to Him with a single eye, like a dove (S. S. 1:9). We are no longer for ourselves. Rather, we are being brought into the corporate church life. Lord, we give our campus years to You; gain us!

In these three days, we visited the churches in the Klang Valley, Sunway University, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Asia Pacific University and Eden Residence as well. What is most exciting to us is that we are able to stay the night in the brothers’ and sisters’ house in different localities!

In our first night in Petaling Jaya, the students were given the opportunity to testify on how they were perfected in the brothers’ and sisters’ house and in the church life. Their testimonies really refreshed us all. We can testify that they truly grew and learned many lessons in their campus years.

On the second day, we visited the trainees of the Full-time Training in Malaysia (FTTMY) at Eden Residence. We felt so warm when we see the trainees greeted and welcomed us with smiles on their face; we truly enjoyed our time with them. While we were listening to the brothers’ fellowship, we were so thankful for the brothers who have seen what Brother Lee and Brother Nee saw and are still bringing these things to us. The Lord is training us in this age so that we may reign with Him as kings in the next age.

After visiting some campuses and brothers’ and sisters’ house in the afternoon, we arrived at Kuala Lumpur Hall 1 and we were happy to discover that the campus students from Sibu were already waiting for us!

In the fellowship that night, we were helped to see that it is in the church life that we grow in life and are being transformed. As we live the church life, we have to be burning in our spirit. But for us to be burning, we need to buy oil, and the place to buy oil is the church life! Thank the Lord for the church life here!

Testimonies:

I really thank the Lord that in my campus years, I have the chance to stay in the brothers’ house. Staying in the brothers house gave me many opportunities to serve and to learn things that I would never have learned if I were to stay at my own home. Recently I learnt how to be open to my fellow brothers. Because of my lack of fellowship with other members, it has brought me into a state of confusion, murmurings and complaints. But through fellowship with the members of the Body, the Lord brought me back into the sweet fellowship with the brothers. Thank the Lord that He is leading me on positively in the church life!
— I.T.
When I came here, I thought the church life was just a matter of attending the Lord’s Table and occasionally the prayer meeting. However, while I was here, I was enlightened to see how rich the church life is and this gave me the desire to actively participate in it. The more I participate in the church life, the more I enjoy the church life. The Lord also gradually burdened me to preach the gospel in the campus. It is my hope to see all the brothers and sisters to take this opportunity to move in to the brothers’ and sisters’ house.
— B.L.
When I just came here to study, I had no intention to stay in the sisters’ house because the sisters’ house was not near my campus. But the Lord touched me and I wrestled with the Lord; eventually I moved into the sisters’ house. Now, in my final year, I looked back and I thank the Lord for all that He has done. In the sisters’ house, I was perfected in many areas and I was also truly cherished by the sisters. There was once I fell sick, the sisters prepared all the meals for me. I was really touched and grateful to the Lord for placing me in the sisters’ house. Brothers and sisters, our campus years are short. Seize the opportunity to live the corporate life!
