New Intake Outing and Fellowship (Nov 1, 2025)

Sekinchan Paddy Field

As the new semester began, seventy-six of us embarked on a journey to Sekinchan with our fellow campus students all around Klang Valley and the nearby localities. We were thrilled to see so many new faces who are freshmen at their respective universities joining us for the first time!

For many of us who left our home, our hometown, even our home country for our tertiary education here in Klang Valley, there were mixed feelings concerning the journey ahead of us. But we thank the Lord that we are not alone in this! Thank the Lord for the church life and the many opportunities for us to be blended with the campus students in the Klang Valley. Let us set our heart on the Lord and His church!

Praise the Lord that we are members of the Body. No matter where we are, where we are from, whether we are a freshman or whether we are preparing to graduate, we are still a member of the Body. As members of the Body, we need the supply and protection of the Body. Without the Body we cannot live!

The church life is the best place for us to grow in life. But we also need to guard our heart from the snare of the evil one, because the growth of life has much to do with our heart. The condition of our heart will determine the extent of our growth in the Lord. We must send our roots deep down into Christ, so that we would remain flourishing and not cease to bear fruit! O Lord, gain us to have a pure and single heart!

“Blessed is the man who trusts in Jehovah
And whose trust Jehovah is.
And he will be like a tree transplanted beside water,
Which sends out its roots by a stream,
And will not be afraid when heat comes;
For its leaves remain flourishing,
And it will not be anxious in the year of drought
And will not cease to bear fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Amidst the years we journey through our campus years, we must avail ourselves to practice the Body life in the proper church life so that we can have the normal growth in life and be built up with one another. If we faithfully and steadfastly keep ourselves living in this way, five or ten years down the road, we would be able to look back and reminisce the good years we have passed growing up together in the Lord with our fellow members in the church life. This is most precious.
