Malaysia Upper Youth Perfecting (May 25–29, 2024)

God’s unique work is to build Himself into us that we may be His corporate expression. Through the upper youth perfecting held on May 25 through May 29, 2024, the youths really enjoyed living a corporate life with their companions by eating, drinking, and breathing Jesus. This youth perfecting consisted of the following four things:

Word of God

Through the word of God, the young people came to know that they have a human spirit. Yes, we have a soul, but the spirit is deeper than and different from the soul. After we believe in the Lord, He enters into our spirit to become our life. Furthermore, every experience of life is in the spirit. The enjoyment of this life issues in the building up of God’s house, where we can enjoy His fatness as our supply, the living water that quenches our thirst, and the life that brings in light to swallow up all darkness.

In this youth perfecting, the youths were also brought to know the Triune God, not in doctrine, but in experience! Our God is the flowing Triune God. He is the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. His being Triune is for us to experience and enjoy. Today the Triune God is in our spirit. when we call, “O Lord Jesus!” from deep within, we just sense that He is flowing in us.

Visiting the Brothers’ and Sisters’ House

We took this opportunity to let the upper youths have a foretaste of the campus life by bringing them to visit the brothers’ and sisters’ house and also some universities. They had an enjoyable time with the campus students. Some received much help from the campus students who guided them on the courses available in the university that they studied in. The youths were also impressed of the vast difference between secondary school and university.

Education Sessions

The youth perfecting also included four study sessions for the youths. The main focus of these study sessions were on Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics. We want our youths to have a strong foundation in both subjects and to stir up their desire to study well. The serving ones helped them by giving them questions and guiding them to score in their exams. What a lovely sight to see these young people studying!

Barbecue

On the last night of the perfecting, we had a barbecue dinner. We enjoyed the time preparing and serving together, and the youths were excited as well. The Lord preserved the weather so that we can have an enjoyable time outdoor.

At the end of the upper youth perfecting, we were delighted to know that some youths, who initially did not register for the lower youth perfecting, wanted to stay on for the lower youth perfecting. Praise the Lord!
